Extraordinary African Safaris
Build on your Open Water certification — deep, drift, and navigation dives on Tanzania's best reefs to expand your skills and depth limit.
Already certified? The Advanced course takes your diving further, with five ‘adventure dives’ including deep and underwater-navigation specialties, plus options like drift, wreck, or night diving. It raises your depth limit and, crucially, your confidence and competence — opening up Tanzania’s more dramatic sites.
It’s the perfect course to do on Pemba or Mafia, where the walls, drifts, and big-fish dives reward the extra skills. Over two to three days you’ll log varied dives with an instructor and emerge a more capable, confident diver.
Pick adventure dives — deep, drift, navigation, night.
Log five varied dives with an instructor.
A deep dive extends your certified depth limit.
Complete the course and earn your advanced certificate.
Genuinely worthwhile if you've a handful of dives logged and want to dive Tanzania's best (especially Pemba's walls) with more confidence and depth. It assumes Open Water certification first. Conditions are best October to March. As ever, choose a safety-focused centre.

These are the destinations we most often pair with Advanced Diving Course, based on route flow, season, and how the wider itinerary fits together.
