Experience Guide

Tanzania’s granite kopjes and crags offer surprisingly good rock climbing, and guided sessions near Arusha introduce the sport against a backdrop of plains and mountains. Qualified instructors set up top-rope and sport routes to suit your level, from first-timers learning the ropes to experienced climbers tackling harder lines, with all gear provided.

It’s a rewarding way to spend a half or full day, combining a physical challenge, technical skill, and exhilarating views from the top of the rock. No experience is needed to start — just a head for a bit of height and a sense of adventure.
